Littlefoot Farm
The Story
Trying to name our little farm in the foothills of Georgia didn't take long, but the work to clear fields, grow food, and build a community of stewards is years in the making.
We started with 8 acres of horse pasture and built raised garden beds on the flattest sections. Our family, friends, and volunteers came to help us build mobile chicken coops and shuttle heaps of woodchip mulch. Farmer friends have come by to offer their time, advice, and saved seeds. We made fields into a farm!
In five seasons, we've sold thousands of pounds of food, hosted dozens of future land stewards on school field trips, and made connections all across North Georgia. The small agricultural hub we envisioned in the beginning hasn't been realized yet, but we're on our way…
